It’s been a year and, to say the truth, we are not there anymore: we’ve moved from Ashland to Seattle. One year later we’re starting a new life in the largest city in the Pacific Northwest! Time to go have some cake. Bye.

We finally took the time to upload a video of the ceremony to the website. If you want to see it you just have to go to the ceremony page and click on play! You won’t have to be very patient, it’s only 18 minutes long, and if you feel like reading the script, you’ll find it on the same page.
Finalmente nos hicimos a la tarea de subir el video de la ceremonia. Si lo quieren ver sólo tienen que ir a la página de la ceremonia y hacer click en play! La duración es de 18 minutos, así que si quieren ver todo el video no tendrán que sufrir mucho. Si bien la mayoría es en Inglés, algunas partes son en Español y otras (cantadas) en Francés. Recuerden que en esa página también encontrarán el guión de la ceremonia, así que si leer les resulta más fácil, pueden consultar la version transcrita.

Well, we made it. Yeah! We had lots of fun and were very happy to see our friends and family having fun too. Thanks to all those who made their way to Ashland, without you it wouldn’t have been so wonderful. We’ll be posting info on how to send pics to us ASAP and we’ll try to post some photos on this website once we’ve had the chance to make a first selection. You can contact Alejandro (araleius at gmail dot com) if you can’t wait to send the pictures right away.
Pues bien, lo logramos. Yuppi! Nos divertimos mucho y nos encanto ver a los familiares y amigos que nos acompañaron divirtiéndose también. Gracias a todos los que lograron venir hasta Ashland, sin ustedes no habría sido tan maravilloso. Los que no pudieron venir seguramente podrán celebrar con nosotros a su debido tiempo. Apenas hayamos hecho una primera selección de fotografías (y luego de tratar de recopilar todas las que se tomaron) estaremos mostrándoles algunas en el sitio.

We recently received the first news of someone planning to plan a tree for us! If we’re lucky enough it will be in New Zealand, and hopefully we’ll be able to go and visit it sometime soon.
Hace poco recibimos la primera respuesta a nuestra propuesta de plantar un árbol por nosotros! El lugar donde será plantado, si tenemos suerte, será Nueva Zelanda, donde esperamos ir a visitarlo en un futuro no muy lejano.

Hace unos días Alejandro encontró finalmente un vestido que se acomodaba a sus requerimientos. Es un vestido de tres piezas con revés morado y, para colmo de colmos, lo llevará puesto con una corbata también (y voluntariamente, así no lo crean)!
Some days ago Alejandro finally found a suit that met his requirements. It’s a three piece suit with purple lining and, he’ll be (voluntarily) wearing a tie too!

Aunque Alejandro temía que podría salir con alguna disculpa fundamentalmente religiosa para no aceptar la propuesta, Juan Pablo, nuestro rabino de cabecera, decidió esta semana aceptar la invitación que le hicimos para que nos pronunciara marido y mujer. Tendremos que preparar algunos papeles (qué cosa tan rara), pero seguramente el estado de Óregon le otorgará la autoridad necesaria para hacer su declaración un acto de habla feliz. Cuándo? Eso todavía está por resolverse.
